Description
Beer goes only as beer? No way! Our beer brandy Irish Stout proves that beer can be used in a completely different way. For this we use the freshly brewed craft beer "Irish Stout" of the Bremer Union Brewery, which is distilled to our beer brandy - also called Eau de vie de bière. A dark beer with strong roasted aromas that make up the unique taste of this piecemeal brandy.
Unfortunately, Union Brewery has decided to stop producing The Irish Stout beer in bottles. Therefore, we will not produce the brandy from the Irish Stout beer again.
Sensory description
- This beer brandy has typical beer notes in the nose, and its taste impresses with spicy malt flavors.
Production
The "Irish Stout" is freshly brewed for us by the Union Brewery according to the German purity law and then distilled in our brewery using the rough and fine distillation process. The elaborate double distillation in small copper stills and the careful separation of the "heart" preserve the flavors and result in a natural smoothness. We do not add flavor enhancers or sugar to our beer brandy, nor do we dilute or blend it. The filtration is done using activated charcoal, and we only use water for dilution during bottling.
