Sweet-fruity oranges from Italy and the spicy, woody whiskey make this orange whisky liqueur a very special treat for fine moments. The orange is clearly in the foreground of this award-winning liqueur - pleasantly sweet and amazingly fruity in taste. And our own single malt whisky "Van Loon" provides the special twist with its spicy, malty, woody note.
The Christmas edition is crowned with gingerbread spices such as cinnamon, allspice, anise, star anise, nutmeg, ginger, cardamom, fennel and cloves.
Sensory description
- The sweet orange with Christmas accents is immediately present in this liqueur's aroma. On the palate, the sweet and fruity taste is convincing with spicy winter notes.
Production
The orange peels from fully ripened oranges used for this orange liqueur are soaked in alcohol for maceration. Cold alcohol slowly extracts the aroma from the orange peels. Subsequently, a high-proof orange distillate is produced through distillation, which is then combined with sugar, water, and whiskey in the further production phases to create our award-winning liqueur. The spices for our Christmas edition, including cinnamon, allspice, anise, star anise, nutmeg, ginger, cardamom, fennel, and cloves, are macerated in whiskey beforehand and then filtered.
