    [herstellung] => Bis zu 25cm groß werden die wunderschönen Hibiskusblüten, die in diesem Gin Verwendung finden. Genau wie ein wacholderlastiger Basis-Gin und ein Himbeerdestillat werden die Blüten zunächst komplett, also auch ihre fünf Kelchblätter, die Kronblätter und der Blütenstempel in Neutralalkohol mazeriert. Der Alkohol aus diesen Mazeraten wird nach einer bestimmten Einwirkzeit in einer kleinen 130 Liter-Feinbrandblase ganz langsam wieder herausdestilliert. Dann ist er nicht mehr neutral, sondern riecht und schmeckt intensiv nach Hibiskus beziehungsweise Wacholder. Die Einzeldestillate komponieren wir dann zu diesem frisch-fruchtigen Blended Gin. Die Filterung dieser Einzeldestillate erfolgt über Aktivkohle, beim Abfüllen nutzen wir ausschließlich Wasser zum Herabsetzen und setzen außerdem weder Aromastoffe noch Zucker zu.

Similar to a juniper-heavy base gin, the flowers are first macerated in neutral alcohol, including their five sepals, petals, and stamen. After a specific amount of time, the alcohol from these macerations is slowly distilled in a small 130-liter still, resulting in a spirit that is no longer neutral but instead has an intense aroma and flavor of hibiscus or juniper. These individual distillates are then blended to create this fresh and fruity gin. The distillates are filtered using activated charcoal, and only water is used to dilute the gin before bottling. No flavorings or sugars are added.

Description

As beautiful as the large flowers of the hibiscus bloom in summer, they also make our Triple Peak pink label special. Because they give this dry gin not only a summery pastel pink, but especially its unique fruity-nutty note. Paired with the classic gin botanicals juniper and coriander, this Piekfeine Triple Peak is a wonderfully refreshing summer gin.

This gin was created at Lockdown. Gardener Bea Behrens provided us with all the flowers from the cultivation of her hibiscus perennials. Now this is no longer possible. The flowers must remain on the perennials for sale.
